The Teagarden Classic Perch Derby strives to honor the memory of Chuck Teagarden. He was a Man, Father, Husband, Educator, Coach and Friend from our community that gave generously of his time and talents. We strive to honor him by bringing the community together for an event we all can enjoy.  Anyone, from young to old, can participate and have a great time. Let’s all have fun and support our community!

All proceeds benefit the student athletes from our surrounding community.

Giving Back

This tournament is all about giving back to the community. The Teagarden Classic Perch Derby will always be about honoring the man who gave so much of himself and touched so many lives; thus giving us a chance to give back. The proceeds from this tournament will be disbursed in the form of scholarships, donations and general support where needed.  All of this will be done in the memory of Chuck Teagarden.

Over the past 5 years we have given $42000 in scholarships to 42 graduating seniors despite not being able to have the tournament in 2020.  Our goal is to continue to grow this number each year as well as helping people in need in the community.  Thank you in advance for considering to help our effort to give back.
